Great Location and Unique Vibe
The location is fantastic, just steps away from the iconic tram 28 and surrounded by some lovely local eateries. I enjoyed the access to a shared kitchen, which was super handy for whipping up quick meals during the day. The room had a bit of character, but it could definitely use better maintenance and a good cleaning. Overall, I had a nice time, though I'd suggest improvements in room upkeep.

The shared kitchen was well-stocked for convenient meals.
Unfortunately, my room was quite humid and smelled damp. I had to keep the door open for ventilation, which was not ideal for privacy. Additionally, the bathroom lacked basic amenities like shampoo and conditioner, which I found disappointing for a guesthouse of this nature.

Charm of Alfama Awaits
My stay in the Alfama district was a delight. The guesthouse is tucked away from street noise yet right in the heart of a lively area. The owner, João, was incredibly helpful, and the shared kitchen was well-stocked, allowing me to make my own breakfast. I loved being steps away from the iconic tram 28 and local markets that come alive during the week.
However, communication with management could be slow. During my visit, I experienced an issue with the electricity, and it took some time to get a response. Also, a few essentials like hand soap were not provided, which was unexpected for a guesthouse of this caliber.

I stayed for 3 nights in the Superior Double Room. The room was a good size, and I really enjoyed the perfect view of the passing trams! It was a bit noisy, so if you're sensitive to that, keep it in mind. But I loved having a communal kitchen and found the table fan super helpful. Overall, comfy and stylish!
